I moved to the United States alone in 2013. The first year was particularly difficult. While waiting for my identity, I painted in the corner of a restaurant. The restaurant owner ordered three works from me to hang on the wall. After several discussions and composition, the first work was created. So I jumped onto the canvas and became my work in the United States.
I came to Vietnam to travel more than ten years ago and experienced completely different local customs and natural landscapes. What moved me the most was the simple people on the water. I saw them live very seriously. They went out to the sea early in the morning to cast nets and fish, and then went home after working hard. Landing on the shore, these labors are used to meet the most basic needs of life... This simple appearance is the image captured by the painter, and the paintings are used to express the respect for the labored life.
The composition of this work is simple, with three fishing boats leaning on the shore, allowing the viewer to freely imagine, should we set off or return? The story can be described by itself. The people on the water are a symbol, symbolizing the efforts of every life. Here, I wish that all those who work hard will be rewarded. (author and painter)
