| △ Portraits are the most difficult in painting, because everyone looks in the mirror more or less every day, and is very familiar with human body movements and expressions, so when the painter picks up the brush to paint the portrait, the challenge is indescribable. ! The difficulty of drawing a figure is not only on the surface skin, the muscles under the skin express strength, the blood expresses its life, and the bones express its posture... Although the eyes cannot see the entity, the impact is profound and far-reaching. The subject that every artist strives to present. The protagonist of this work is the author's husband, the painter who paints the present, who uses a mirror to look at the past. A seventeen-year-old young man is full of energy, carefree, and full of expectations for the future; while the sixty-year-old is now, with hair Pale, wrinkled skin, body shape has long been deformed, looking back on the past self somewhat disappointed... The picture is in sharp contrast, very interesting. This work won the third place in the "Celebrate Life! 2022" competition held by the Vegas City Government this year.
