KINGS CANYON
*Note: Since World War II, this park and adjoining Sequoia National Park have been administered jointly.* Home to the deepest canyon in the United States, Kings Canyon is still often overlooked in favor of its better-known neighbor, Sequoia. This gives you a chance to experience the same grand landscape of the more popular park but with far fewer people to consider (or avoid). While weather can be a bit unpredictable, a winter visit could yield fantastic and unforgettable experiences as the landscape is transformed by ice and snow. Crowds will be down, giving you the chance to leisurely explore pristine Alpine environments being monitored and protected within the park. The grandeur of this park will not disappoint!
