At just over 1 million acres (1,583 square miles), the park includes more than 700 lakes, 700 miles of hiking trails (110 miles along the Continental Divide), 26 glaciers and 175 mountains (the tallest, Mt. Cleveland, at 10,448 ft). How’s that for a highlight reel?! But no number, no statistic, could possibly prepare you to experience this piece of heaven on earth. And if wildlife really floats your boat, I can tell you that we personally spotted multiple grizzly bears, black bears, moose and many other species during our visits to the park. Run don’t walk, to experience Glacier National Park for yourself. Trust me on this!
